So is there a difference between a female orgasm and ejaculation? Specifically, is it possible for a woman to ejaculate without having an orgasm?

It’s possible to have an orgasm without ejaculation, in fact that is the most common kind of orgasm.
It’s not possible to ejaculate without an orgasm, but it is possible to have discharge, which is also a fluid coming from the vulva, but still a different thing. It comes from different glands.
Female ejaculation is not the same as an orgasm, it’s something that may or may not occur during an orgasm.
Does this help?

When a woman ejaculates discharge without having an orgasm, it’s only because she’s ovulating. Every month at a certain time either before or after you’ve had your period, you ovulate and a white discharge comes out that looks like orgasmic fluid. I think it’s easy to tell when you’ve had an orgasm verses ovulating. But it’s a good question.
